Mastering Outreach Maps
Replace paper maps with dynamic, real-time digital territories.
Understanding the System
SWAPP uses a simple color-coded system to track progress:
- Green: Ready to knock (Open).
- Yellow: In Progress (Someone is checked in).
- Red: Done (Completed recently).
Creating Territory (Admins Only)
1. Create a Zone (Folder)
A "Zone" is a large area that contains smaller maps.
- Go to the Dashboard > Click "Add a Map" > Select "Add Folder".
- Click on the map to drop anchors and draw the boundary.
- Name it (e.g., "North Side"). Use Satellite view for better precision.
2. Create Maps
Inside a Zone, you draw individual street maps.
- Open a Zone > Click "Add Map".
- Draw around specific blocks or streets.
- Double-click to finish drawing. Name it (e.g., "Map 101").
Using Maps in the Field
Your team uses the mobile app to work these maps:
- Go to the Maps tab.
- Select a Zone, then a Map.
- Tap Check In (The map turns Yellow for everyone else).
- As you walk, your GPS dot moves. Tap a house number to drop a Pin.
- When finished, tap Check Out (The map turns Red).
Printing for Non-Tech Users
Yes, you can still print maps!
- Go to Dashboard > List View.
- Select the maps you want to print.
- Click Print PDF. It includes a QR code so results can be scanned back in later.
